Chapter Thirteen: A Murder Eight Years Ago

The Legendary Spy Gregory Timber still remember that day, eight years ago, when the Records Officer was hit with three silver bullets, although the reported cause of death of the victim was cardiac arrest. At first, it was quite odd for him as he was one of the members of the Society who took the initiative to investigate the circumstances, only to find out that the three silver bullets was fired after the victim died, for the reasons cited above.

It was later on found out (based on an exhaustive inquiry -- comment supplied by the transcriber) that the three silver bullets are the same weapons that are used to kill werewolves, which validates the urban legend regarding the efficacy of silver in killing these characters from the world of Fantasy. The motive for killing the Records Officer was soon ascertained to be connected to the registration of the myth of this urban legend into the Registry of Officially Known Legends.

Although the last Register kept by the said Records Officer was never recovered, the Society assumed that such myth has been entered into the Books with the required effect accorded to the weight of the plays and the associated urban legends that define its metaphysical substance.

The days continued on without another incident after that brutal murder, so the Society was in complete confusion as to why such silver bullets needed to make an appearance in the crime scene. It was later on decided that it was the Record Book that the murderer needed to steal away, and the silver bullets were fired just to further confuse the investigators.

There is actualky no truth to this, except that confusing the ranks of the Society was somewhat accurate in relation to the resulting theft of the Registry that is in possession of the Records Officer.

The truth of the matter is that the Werewolves are attempting to cross the dimensions that separates this world from the Firewall, to enter the scene and combat the Vampires that are also desiring to gain access and feed on known inhabitants that are native to the Milky Way Galaxy.

For them, this is a race against time. And the feud between the Vampires and the Werewolves are based on deep personal differences that worsened into the development of a deadly archrivalry that has reached the point of pure hatred, disdain, and resentment.

Everything orginated from a question of mythical blood for the Vampires and the horns of the unicorns for the Werewolves, although neither side has admitted to the same accusations made between the two races regarding their participation on the many crimes inflicted on the unicorns. The Vampires were accused of drinking and desecrating the blood of the unicorns, while the Werewolves were charged with removing the horns of the said mythical creatures to strengthen their defenses against certain magical attacks.

This common interest on the unicorns led to an investigation of misconduct in the affairs of Fantasy, such that evidence relating to each other's accusations were testified to by the opposing forces to the issues contained thereto, which then started to generate stronger resentment from the two camps.

But now, Gregory Timber discovered the reappearance of another set of three silver bullets in a monster that he just neutralized, by means of his very loyal projector sword.
