Chapter Twenty Four: Eyewitness Account

Angel Adamus has located the newly arrived Fellow of the Boondocks Scientific Trust inside the glorious and intricate streets of the City of New York, in the exact same moment that he was summoned by virtue of the powers of the Angelic Hosts. It was a tumultuous ride going to this dimension, and there is some serious work to do.

"Adamus, am I right?" the Fellow greeted him. "And who is the young lad?"

"Yes, I am Adamus, and this is Nichols Trapp. He does not remember anything though. I took him from the future to do something in this present moment that we are in."

"Have I arrived at the right moment? The guitar strings might have put me in another erroneous dimension. Electronic music has been faulty lately, and I do know that this particular mission is very much important to the Angels, as much as the fate of humanity rests in the same substance of the invisible Angels themselves," said the Fellow as a matter-of-fact. He is well-aquainted with the affairs of the Angels.

"You did arrive in the exact moment, almost precisely as I pinned the location in the Cartographer's Device. But now, it is time for official business. Have you seen him?" Angel Adamus asked.

The Fellow gave a weak nod to answer the question in a non-verbal way. It wasn't reassuring.

"There are three time segments in which the particular Sinister Agent you are looking for is now presently located, hiding. He was there alright, but also all at once, presumptively within the aid of the Magic of Christmas. These Mages are also responsible for reinforcing the impetus of that particular Magic, and there is no other way for you to reach this Sinister Agent other than to journey through the cracks from where he controls the urban legends. I am most certain that this is the case," the Fellow responded. His name is Crescent Morne.

"He was still hiding all these years," Angel Adamus whispered to himself. He was lost for words. "Coward."

"Is the Society still in contact with the perpetuators of this treachery," Angel Adamus asked afterwards, just to confirm his suspicions. "They are the link to the future, right? The Anti-Plagiarists? This is the main assault of the highway of dreams."

"I am sure you are familiar with the American dream?" the Fellow gave a soft chuckle. "That is the absolute truth for some, but sometimes it takes the form of unfulfilled wishes. But there are more dangerous matters in this world other than shattered dreams, like, for example, losing your unplagiarized soul."

"The Firebred Dragons, isn't it so?" Angel Adamus asked anew. "Are you confirming their presence?"

The Fellow laughed. "I think I can only confirm your suspicions once the Firewall was broken. The dragons may come for later, after the integrity of the dimensions of the Purgatory has been compromised. But they will come, alright, albeit this particular prophecy was never mine to share."

"And the Astrologer I asked you to find? The Historians and the time persons are having difficulty finding the coordinates, so nothing concrete can be obtained from the technical future. It is getting frustrating at this point."

"I am working on it, Adamus. And I am glad to meet you again, too, my friend."
