Chapter One: The Sinister Agent Flees the Crime Scene

Never in his wildest dreams that he would be capable to do such a crime with less passion than necessary as the situation requires, but he was able to pull it off convincingly, anyway. His ways were methodical and carefully calculated, and he needed the right skills to stealthily place the obvious trail needed to link the chain of events in the planned catastrophe that is waiting to happen. There is simply no room for mistakes at this point. They cannot afford errors in employing the plan of their actions.

They must be resolute. And act fast.

Yes, he was setting a trap that no one will be able to see coming, and it will be the cause of the downfall of many, especially those who place their hope in the refuge of the things to come. It is the element of time that led them to the safety of this world, and it is also a matter of time that will play the big part before they are exposed to the actors, including the many crimes that they have committed for the Diaspora to comfortably settle in this parallel universe.

As a Sinister Agent, he really did not care for the ongoing war that is happening between the Society of Urban Legend Spies Pte. Ltd. and the Mysterious Segment of Legends (or any other urban legend organization, for that matter) which effectively threatens the existence of the Society, and the many Anti-Plagiarists that have sought sanctuary in the organization, together with the company of the Legendary Spies. But they will be exposed and obliterated in the near future alright, and there is no absolute hurdle for that fateful moment from happening in the days to come.

He moved quickly in case the actors were too nosy to notice that something wrong was happening in this particular corner, although there was no crowd that was visible from where he was standing. The Legendary Spies are too sensitive in maintaining the movie archives, and he did not want to attract their attention. It was the Diaspora that he was targeting, and no one else. He was hoping to further inflict a painful, slow death to this corrupt Records Officer, but the situation does not warrant it. Without a warning, shots have been fired. The death was instantaneous.

The ability of the Legendary Spies to use their Camera Sticks and their Projector Swords can never be underestimated, and he did not want unnecessary distrations to get in the way, too. He is not interested in wasting his energy and time in fighting with the wrong people, let alone be interested in the mystery of all the senseless fighting that was happening in this world full of superfluous drama. Let the belligerents be busy with their own war, until the Actors find themselves becoming foreigners in their own universe. He cannot care any less.

The parallelism of the universe has become fundamentally flawed to be relied on, specifically in solving any complex issues related to the same mystery of existence, of which at the center is the question of life. Many legends and literature, including the many testimonies of the reels of countless films gathered as Ordinance Evidence, cannot agree with a single purpose, and whose definitions mostly were grossly dishonest. Life in itself is fraudulent, deceptive, vulnerable, and easily manipulated. There is no way to solve the paradox in this way.

His nature as a Sinister Agent will never admit his loathing of the celebration of human life (or any other life form, in this case), but he will gladly disappoint and admit every suspicion to be true. The essence of life is pure hypocrisy, and it is disgusting. For him, the portrayal of heroism is simply the stupidity of the logic of life, as it is seen, for example, in justifying the need to courageously die for the promotion of heroic virtues.

His sister was not a hero. She was mercilessly killed. And everybody was the murderer in stealth. The good news is that they will all be brought into the light, for they cannot hide in secrecy forever.

He looked one last time at the bruised, lifeless Records Officer lying on the ground, and then immediately fled the scene.
