Chapter Sixty Nine: Muggelistic Affairs

The Nodal Guard eventually found a very good diner in Manhattan to eat. He was made familiar with New Yorker food as part of his previous assignments liaising between the leadership of the Muggelistic Affairs and the Imperial Synod (which falls strictly within the Mission of the Archons of Order of the Archcathedral), and he is quite sure of what to order from a variety of choices in the menu. As he settled down in the nearest table of the well-interiored place, a Records Officer emerged from a portal of "Dimensional Travel," and immediately joined him in the table, as if nothing weird has just happened, sitting in the chair oppposite to where he was seated.

"I hope you don't mind. I already ordered food for two," the Nodal Guard said casually, greeting the Records Officer's arrival with a smile. "I hope nobody noticed the aura of your arrival. I do not wish to be in further trouble with the Muggelistic Affairs as a result of this meeting."

The Records Officer smiled back at him. "Of course. No wizard will be able to competently chase any of my movements far and in between. And by the way, welcome back to New York City."

The Nodal Guard nodded with a serious face now, ready to inquire of the real purpose of his visit. "I want to know about the on-going search for the behind-the-scenes details of a particular movie on record, called, 'Cyborgs Now,' if there is any progress related to the on-going diligent search."

"Well, regarding this pertinent request of yours," the Records Officer cautiously began, carefully mincing her words for her reponse. "It was determined that the documents related to this most important query has been kept in the Restricted Section, and a password would be required before the shelves can be opened and retrieve the requested documents."

"I see," the Nodal Guard replied. "But is there an assurance that the documents in the restricted section certainly pertains to the movie, 'Cyborgs Now'? Is there a way to accurately verify?"

The Records Officer understood the source of the doubt, but made an absolute assurance. "Once the record bears the Seal of the British Ministry of Magic for the Efficacious Action of Muggelistic Affairs, it is cleared by Magical authorities to be a legitimate parallel of another story in a relevant dimension. It may be the case that the story which is absolutely parallel to the film may be listed as proportionately or somewhat analogous, a reverse parallel, or a positively confirmed duplicate copy. An in-depth analysis may be required to ascertain which mode of the parallelogram treatise actually exists in this case, however."

"And is the Seal for the Muggelistic Affairs made available for the title of the movie I am searching? Are you affirming the validity of my query?"

The Records Officer was sure of the matter, and simply responded a resounding confirmation.

By this time, the waitress arrived with their food, and the two started eating immediately. It was late in the afternoon, and the smell was delicious. They were silent for awhile as the restaurant was buzzing with people, savoring the taste of their early dinner.

After a brief moment pass, the Nodal Guard looked at her again to ask a question anew. "What should I do to gain access? I need the documents quite desperately."

"Well, unless you can get hold of an Authorization from the Muggelistic Affairs, we cannot access and override the restriction. And the document is magically enchanted, anyway. No one can read it without the permission of the proper authority."

The Nodal Guard went on to drink his newly arrived beverage, and then carefully inquired, "What are the valid reasons needed to gain Muggelistic Affairs authorization?"

The Records Officer look up to stare at him straight in the eye, and then enthusiastically responded: "That, while considering your status, would be a very big problem. But I know a certain Anti-Plagiarist who can help us with that."
