Chapter Forty: The Documents of the Summons

It was officially autumn in New York City. For some, it means that the weather will be much colder, the leaves will start falling from the tree branches, and the city will be fully unclothed of nature to welcome the first precipitation of the season in the form of snow.

But for the Legendary Spies, the season of Fall means another important thing that happens during the life cycle of the Society. It means that the "hidden" movie fans will be identified from the several Actors in the territory of the metropolitan, and once the sample was adequately recognized from the population, they will be hand delivered with their Documents from the Postmaster General of the Society detailing the Summons that they are about to receive, including the merits of the Petition of the said instrument.

Many inducted Legendary Spies recounted their experience in the period of initiation to be a totally magical experience. Although most of those composing their respective classes are diverse in nature, many of them have indicated that most of their taste in moving pictures or films have a certain form of statistically correct trajectory. And this is how the magic happens.

It was not a general knowledge from those currently recruited that the common denominator from each incoming class was the presence of Santa Claus in their childhood years. It is the dusting of the Yuletide season when the toys are delivered that sticks to their pattern of behavior that makes the movies or films they eventually appreciate give out the sense of meaning to the proper appreciation of the visual media.

They are made the "spies" of the fine art, from which the purpose of the visual culture is massively defined and exemplified.

The Lengendary Spies ultimately borrow their power, in this sense, from the Magic of Christmas, and any attempt to sabotage the generous mission of The Village, The North Pole, is simply determined in crippling the mechanisms associated to the causes attached to the primary existence of the Society.

From the Spindle of Hate, to the Vampires, and the selected Urban Legends, to the training provided in the Legendary Masterclasses, all simply pertains to the different manifestation of evil, and the several substances from which antiparticles can hide itself, which may be, later on, repulsed by the basic impetus of love.

This year, twelve Legendary Spies and two Anti-Plagiarists were given the task to deliver the individual Documents of the Summons. The Postmaster General has made it clear that the letters must be delivered in secret, and that they cannot risk to expose the Society's mission of giving meaning to the films and its important subject matter, which are mostly about the applied moral lessons in life.
