Chapter Eleven: The Nodal Guard Arrives

He was one of the many few Nodal Guards who survived the onslaught that happened in the See of Old, where everybody perished from the brazen attack of the evil one, the Dark Prince who has successfully planned a cunning deception that fooled all of them. Not everyone survived; a few of them were just lucky in the timing.

This luck came from the significant effect of the Physical Clock, which is a mode of time travel that became the very reason that he is still alive today, an operation that allowed his presence to be saved by the manipulation of time with regards to the altering of the spatial requirements.

He is Ben Churchston, one of the most skilled Nodal Guards who are loyalist to the causes of the Bishop of Old, and to the many Cardinals within the relevant Dicasteries that safeguard the Empire from attacks and in charge of its overall security. And in that fateful day, he was contacted by the Time Traveller and the Historian, right in the nick of time.

They were serendipitously led into his attendance as they were searching for the interaction of the Time Machine and the Physical Clock, in a bid to trace the unknown beginning of this chaotic alteration of the lines of the time element. Whatever else the Historian was looking for, he was quite unaware, but he was generally surprised by the timing of her appearance.

He was later on able to learn the reason why they arrive in that crucial moment that ultimately saved his life from the certainty of death. Apparently speaking, they were unknowingly led into that moment because of his special relationship with the substantive influence of the Physical Clock due to his organic composition. They revealed the ultimate purpose of their time journey, which is mainly looking to defeat Lucifer's ambitious plans of escape, and they were able to convince him to join their causes.

And now, he must succeed in this mission as he arrives on Planet Earth (the blue planet as some aliens might say from outerspace), which is focused on one singular goal: to retrieve an extant artifact that has been stolen by the Diaspora. The artifact was an important part of the mechanism that effectively controls the complete capability of the Physical Clock.

But the problem lies in the manner in which such artifact was stolen, which has nothing to do with any of the Anti-Plagiarists who sought safety in this world. The artifact was conjured, and has attached itself to the fleeing Diaspora, and this manner of theft has become the existential dilemma of retrieving this important artifact.

The Anti-Plagiarists were totally unaware that the artifact has latched itself within their presence that immediately formed as an integral part of their existence, a problem persisting to be a crucial component of the Physical Clock's inability to function properly. In order to fix these technical shortcomings, it is important to defeat everyone in the Diaspora.

All of them must individually die.

Nobody knows this carefully guarded secret, but it is crucial to know to carefully plan the strategic move to outwit Lucifer's treachery. But this mission is to find a way to avert any move to destroy these innocent Anti-Plagiarists.

And he must triumph, for whatever costs it might incur. The Anti-Plagiarists must be saved at once, before the enemy can get to them first.
